It all started with noticing the small things in life.
I have spent sixteen years photographing real life. And if there is one thing I have learned in that time, it is that the moments people remember the most are rarely the ones anyone planned. I started in editorial documentary photography, telling real stories, capturing real life as it actually happens, not as it is arranged to look. That training never left me.
Everything changed, in the best way, when I became a mother myself. I have two little girls, and somewhere in the middle of the sleepless nights and the sticky fingerprints and the impossibly fast pace of it all, I understood something I had not fully understood before: this goes faster than anyone tells you. And you cannot get it back.
That understanding is in every photograph I take now. The way my children laugh. The way they reach for me without thinking. The way ordinary days somehow become the ones I want to remember most. At first, I was just documenting my own life.
But slowly, I realised I did not want to stop there.
I quickly fell in love with family photography in its truest form—the real, unposed and intimate details.
The way a child wraps their arms tightly around your neck. The completely joyous, authentic laughter that echoes through a sunny room. The quiet, beautiful exhaustion on a mother’s face as she rocks her baby, a look that holds more profound love than any curated portrait ever could. My 16 years behind the camera have taught me that family photography is a form of fine art. It is about documenting your life exactly as it is lived.

Why my work matters
I think, honestly, most of the families I work with do not actually need convincing that family photography matters. You already know that. You have built a beautiful life, full of milestones you have made sure to mark, the travel, the celebrations, the achievements.
What I think you might not be missing is the big moments. It is the quiet ones in between. An ordinary Tuesday. The way your home actually looks and feels and sounds right now, this year, with your children at exactly these ages.
Because the milestones, you will remember. The ordinary days, you won't.
I also think, often, the person missing from the photographs is you. The one always behind the camera, on every holiday, at every birthday, and yet barely present in a single image.
I understand that instinct completely. But your children won't remember you as a photograph-taker. They will remember you as the person who held them, who laughed with them, who was simply there.
